Xena

My beloved Xena - the best friend a human could ever have. I miss you so much. I love you forever. Xena was an Australian Cattle Dog who I rescued at age one from the local pound. She had been abandoned and abused and was sick with Parvo.  I took one look at her and vowed to make sure she knew only love, safety and companionship for the rest of her life.  And live she did! She became a healthy, energetic, loyal companion to me.. She enjoyed all of our hiking adventures and loved to run in the snow and wade in the ocean surf.  Most of she loved herding the kitties she lived with.  I was blessed with her constant companionship and love for 15 wonderful years.   At age 16 she succumbed to inoperable liver cancer.  Xena was my soul mate and I miss her every day.
