Priscilla Lu Prudence Crotty
Forever in our hearts
Priscilla is my girl, my little pearl, and my honey bun. Though I adopted her at the age of five, to be a companion for my Rocky (German shepherd mix) because he was so very sad after my mom passed away, she became my greatest companion and comfort when Rocky passed on to Heaven. Being a Schipperke mix, she was always a lively and opinionated individual who never hesitated to "lecture" me--especially if I left her alone for even the seconds it took to take the garbage out. She was my little "soldier girl" who would come up to sit or lie on my lap or at my side, by invitation only. Until I invited her "up" by patting the bed, sofa, or my lap, she would sit very straight, at attention, just like a soldier would. She also was my "guard girl"--a big dog in a 25-pound body, who could scare the daylights out of anyone who came too near to me (or to her, for that matter) or to our home. Though she was "cheap" with her doggy kisses--kissing only once in a while, when she felt like it--she was my little cuddle bug who followed me around the house wherever I went. She had a distinctive whine, which I grew to love, when she didn't like something, and she LOVED playing with plush toys of all shapes and sizes (she even loved to play with them all by herself). Her strut--shoulders proudly synchronized, like a swimmer's stroke--told everyone she loved her walks. She was my furry daughter, with four legs and a tail. I can't wait to see her, with her big brother, when I get to Heaven...
