Piper

Gone too soon! My Piper love was my first dog...and I struck pure "GOLD"en with her. Oh, she wasn't perfect, but she WAS PERFECT for me! An active, vibrant 7-1/2 year-old, her loss in late November, 2020 was so sudden and unexpected; her high-grade lymphoma diagnosis simply crushed my heart. My solace is knowing that holding her snug in my arms, Piper left this earth as she'd lived each day--with grace! The treatments immediately attempted to help wreaked havoc with Piper's own immune system...and though she did ALL she could to rally, the lymphoma was not to be outdone. Like all of you with animals you love, she will always be MY beautiful Piper! She made my life far BETTER, RICHER, more JOYFUL, and lots more FUR-ry! I will forever miss Pipe's smiley face, her fierce independent streak, and those velvet-like ears I'd rub each night (for good luck)! Piper, with tears still running down my cheeks...my fervent wish for you today and every day is that you're running free and with abandon off-leash, chasing squirrels around corners and gates, uncovering cool swimming holes, loads of those good, crunchy sticks you love to chew...and best, making new furry pals in your Angel Dog Pack 💝 As I sang to you in our cuddles, "You Are My Sunshine, My Only Sunshine, You Make Me Happy When Skies are Gray, You'll Never Know Dear, How Much I Love You..."(though I hope you know; I told you everyday)! May this contribution move our world closer to a cure for cancer for Goldens and all the pups! Like most reading this, your animal's loss will seem too soon...in truth, forever would be too soon. Piper, though I can't hug you anymore, my heart will hold you close always! I love you P💖
