Lucy (Lucille) Flaherty-Carney

Our little Lucy. The past 13 years were more than we ever could have asked for. She was our light and our best friend. Lucy graciously tolerated 8 moves in two different states, traveled endlessly on planes, trains and automobiles, was carted into grocery stores, coffee shops and bars- always with joy and just so happy to be together. We were inseparable for 13 years. Doctors say she was the "strongest, bravest girl they'd ever had the pleasure of working with- a one in a million dog with so much sweetness and fortitude". While we will always cherish the amazing memories we shared and hold her in our hearts forever, we hope that no family has to go through losing their pet to cancer. Cancer is the leading cause of death in dogs over the age of 10.
