Dakota

Forever in our hearts

January 29, 2004-November 9, 2016 Almost 13 years wasn't enough for our family as we thought you'd live "forever" and die peacefully from old age. Instead, the insidious double-whammy of Lymphoma and Leukemia hit you and us very hard. We did everything we thought we could to try and extend your life to a better quality but in the end we were faced with the horrible choice to end your suffering. You didn't want to go, we didn't want you to go but we had to send you off...in the hopes that we will reunite someday, somehow, somewhere...over the rainbow. Endless Love, The Delzer Family

Our lovely Siberian Husky Dakota was friendly, funny, made people happy, made us laugh, gave great joy, was very much loved by all who knew her. In October 2016 she was diagnosed with Lymphoma. We put her on various cancer treatment protocols which she was not responding to until they discovered it had morphed into Leukemia as well. :( She didn't want to leave us, wanted to be with us at home for her time, but the cancer sapped her will very fast at the end and on November 9, 2016 we made the decision to help her out of her physical body. Her spirit lives on with us for all the happy and good times memories we shared with her for almost 13 years. God Blessed us with you Dakota. Say Hi to Emmy (our American Eskimo that succumbed to mammary cancer at age 10)
